Editor

Amelia Ford is a highly experienced editor, working across feature films, television, and documentaries. Over the past two decades, Amelia has amassed an extensive body of work in television and film, one that spans multiple genres, formats and budget scopes.

Most recently, Amelia edited the final season of the hit Stan series Bump (Season 5), continuing her long-running work on the show across multiple seasons. In 2024, she also edited key episodes of the second season of NCIS: Sydney (dir. Catherine Millar/ Endemol Shine, CBS, Paramount+) and Spooky Files Season 2 (dir. Guy Edmonds/ Matchbox Pictures, TAP). She cut the finale episodes of the Disney+ drama series Last Days of the Space Age (dir. Kriv Stenders/ Princess Pictures) and was the setup editor on the Stan crime drama Critical Incident (dir. Neill Sharma/ Matchbox Pictures).

Across 2022 and 2023, Amelia worked on a range of high-profile projects, including episodes of The Artful Dodger (dir. Corrie Chen/ Sony Pictures Television, Disney+), all episodes of Upright Season 2 (dir. Mirrah Foulkes/ Lingo Pictures, Binge), and episodes of Surviving Summer (dir. Sian Davies/ Werner Productions, Netflix). Her work on Surviving Summer earned her a 2022 AACTA Award nomination for Best Editing in Television.

Amelia’s earlier television credits include the first season of the globally successful Activity (dir. Trent O’Donnell/ Jungle Entertainment, Stan), which earned her a 2016 ASE nomination for Editing in Comedy. She worked on Offspring Season 6 (dir. Shannon Murphy/ Southern Star, Network Ten) and multiple seasons of Wentworth (dir. Kevin Carlin/ Fremantle Media, Foxtel, 2018–2020). She was editor on Seasons 2 and 4 of Bump (dirs. Leticia Caceres, Geoff Bennett, Ismail Khan/ Roadshow Rough Diamond), earning a second ASE nomination in 2022 for Best Editing in Drama.

In feature film, Amelia has worked across a number of major titles including as assembly editor on Of An Age (dir. Goran Stolevski/ Causeway Films, 2022), first assistant editor on The Railway Man (dir. Jonathan Teplitsky/ Lionsgate UK, 2013), and VFX editor on Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark (dir. Troy Nixey/ FilmDistrict, 2010) and Rogue (dir. Greg McLean/ Village Roadshow, 2007). In 2020, she edited the feature film The Menkoff Method (dir. David Parker/ White Hot Productions), starring Noah Taylor.
