Earle Dresner is an award-winning and highly sought after Cinematographer known for his work across film, television, and commercials.
In 2023, Earle shot Episodes 6 and 7 of the highly anticipated second instalment of Interview with the Vampire for AMC Studios (Dwight Street Book Club). He also recently completed shooting the third season of the critically acclaimed The Newsreader (Werner Films/ABC). Most recently, he wrapped on TV Series All Her Fault (NBCUniversal/Peacock), starring Sarah Snook.
Before that, Earle shot an episode in the third season of the blockbuster series La Brea for NBC Universal. His other television credits includes The Commons (Playmaker Media), which earned Earle an AACTA nomination for Best Cinematography, Glitch (Matchbox Pictures/ ABC), and Sisters (Endemol/ Channel Ten), both of which received Gold Awards at the Australian Cinematographers Society Awards (Victoria and Tasmania).
In 2021 Earle was the cinematographer for the six-part series Love Me (Aquarius Films/ Binge Original), directed by Emma Freeman. Earle received an AACTA nomination for Best Cinematography in a Drama Series for his work on the series. 2021 also saw Earle shoot the critically acclaimed drama series The Newsreader, which reunited him with frequent collaborator director Emma Freeman. The series, which was produced by Werner Film Productions and created by Michael Lucas, went on to receive a record 16 nominations at the 2021 AACTA Awards, with Earle nominated for Best Cinematography in Television. Earle was nominated again the following year, in the same category, for his work on the second season of the acclaimed drama.
Earle’s feature film credits include 2067 (dir. Seth Larney, XYZ Films/ Arcadia/ Kojo Productions, 2020), a prescient climate dystopian thriller starring Ryan Kwanten and Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Angkor (dir. Murray Pope, K2 Studios, 2020).
