Ernie is currently presenting in Series 6of Going Places with Ernie Dingo on NITV and SBS. His most recent feature film Kangaroo will be released in theatre’s shortly.

Before COVID shut down live theatre, he was touring with Opera Australia’s production of Bran Nue Dae in the role of ‘Uncle Tadpole’.

Other recent productions have been Squinters, Mystery Road, and Redfern Now – Dogs of War.

In 2015, he also was part of the SBS series DNA, in which he travelled the world discovering his ancestry and was part of the 2018 series of Who Do You Think You Are.

He has many industry nominations and awards to his name, is a Living National Treasure and in 1990 was awarded the General Division of the Order of Australia.
