Ben Lawrence's 'Hearts and Bones' to have International Premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival

Congratulations to our client, Ben Lawrence, on the announcement that his debut narrative feature, Hearts and Bones, will be having its international premiere at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival.

The development is the latest in the ongoing success for Lawrence and his critically lauded feature, which had its World Premiere at the Sydney Film Festival where it played in Official Competition; that was followed by screenings at Melbourne International Film Festival and the announcement that it will play in competition at CinefestOz where it will compete for the grand prize of $500,000.

Hearts and Bones tells the story of a friendship between a war photographer (Hugo Weaving) and a South Sudanese refugee (Andrew Luri), who are connected by a photograph that threatens to destroy them both.

Madman will release the film in Australian & New Zealand next year.
