Screenwriter and Director Emma Jackson Joins the Agency!

Cameron’s is thrilled to welcome screenwriter and director Emma Jackson to the agency.

Emma recently directed an episode of The Twelve series 2 for Easy Tiger/WB/Foxtel, and in 2022, Emma was selected by Screen West and Princess Pictures for a competitive director's attachment position on the Disney+ series Last Days Of The Space Age, working alongside Rachel Ward, while also directing the second and Perth units.

After more than two decades as an actor, Emma pivoted successfully into directing with her first short film, Deb, which was a finalist for the Best Female Filmmaker Award at CinefestOz. Emma completed her masters in filmmaking, receiving several accolades and awards, including a nomination for a Yugo BAFTA Award, and secured the competitive 70K Screen West Elevate short film funding for her upcoming comedy, Joan, starring Caroline Brazier. Combined, these experiences led to a shadowing opportunity on The Twelve with Ben Young, and in turn a full episode as director.

Emma’s acting background has proven invaluable to her directing skills, bringing a unique sensitivity to working with actors and understanding the nuances of performance. Emma is represented as an actor by Sophie Jermyn at SJM.
