Philip’s most recent work includes Four Years later for SBS and Scott in Do Not Go Gentle for the Sydney Theatre Company.
In 2022 Philip appeared in his musical retrospective, Is This All Then for which he was awarded the Sydney Theatre Award for Best Cabaret. He also performed in Into the Woods at the 2022 Adelaide Cabaret Festival.
Philip’s latest stage role is Ben in the STC’s 2021 production of Death of a Salesman directed by Paige Rattray.
In 2020 he returned to Australian television screens in the Seven Network production of Between Two Worlds and Fallout for the ABC.
Some of the productions in which he has played leading roles include The White Devil; Loves Labour’s Lost (British and Tokyo Tour); The Secret Garden (cast recording); Macbeth and Troilus & Cressida for the Royal Shakespeare Company.
The Cherry Orchard; Into the Woods; Coriolanus; Democracy and Waiting for Godot for the Sydney Theatre Company and the International Beckett
Season in London, Ghosts; His Girl Friday and The Goat or Who is Sylvia? for the Melbourne Theatre Company.
He won his first Olivier Award playing Georges in The National Theatre’s production of Sunday in The Park with George and a second Olivier Award as Graham in Sam Mendes’ production of the The Fix (cast recording) at the Donmar Warehouse - where he also performed and recorded Philip Quast Live at the Donmar as part of the Donmar’s final Diva Season (CD recording).
His film and television credits are numerous and in Australia include: Picnic at Hanging Rock, Janet King, Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, Truth and Hacksaw Ridge.
