Rob Marsh is an Emmy award-winning cinematographer whose career has spanned over 30 years, working on many world-class television dramas, feature films, and commercials.

Rob shot the highly anticipated TV series The Last Anniversary, which is based on Liane Moriarty’s best-selling novel. This six-part TV series was produced by Made Up Stories and Fifth Season and is now available on BINGE. This was his second collaboration with Made Up Stories and Fifth Season, which started with the highly successful TV series Strife in 2023, where Rob shot all eight episodes.

Rob was DOP on all three seasons of the Emmy award-winning series Sweet Tooth, for which he won Gold at the NZCS Awards for Outstanding Cinematography in 2024 as well as an Emmy for Outstanding Cinematography for a Single Camera Live Action Program. Rob worked on both seasons of The Wilds, and he was the lead DOP on The Wilds Season Two, which was shot in Queensland for Amazon. 

Rob’s 2nd Unit DOP credits include a number of productions like Spartacus, The Warrior Way, Aliens in the Attic, The Strength of Water, and The Shannara Chronicles. He’s also worked on many award-winning feature films like Avatar, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Hobbit, and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.  Rob also shot two New Zealand feature films – The Devil’s Rock and Low Down Dirty Criminals.

Most recently, Rob finished shooting the second season of the multi-award-winning Amazon Studios TV show Deadloch. 

Rob is accredited by the New Zealand Cinematography Society.
