Sherree Philips

Production Designer

Sherree Philips is a highly sought-after production designer, working across film, television and high-end TVCs.

In 2019, Sherree served as the production designer on Shannon Murphy’s debut feature film Babyteeth. The film had its World Premiere at the Venice Film Festival, where it screened in competition. The film earned Sherree a nomination for Best Production Design at the 2020 AACTAs, and it went on to win 9 AACTAs in total, including Best Director, all the film acting categories, Best Screenplay and Best Film. In 2019, she was also the production designer for Standing Up For Sunny (dir. Steve Vidler, and produced by Michael Potin, Drew Bailer, Jamie Hilton/ See Pictures), which won Best Indie Film at the 2020 AACTAs.

Prior to these feature film credits, Sherree worked on Lucy Gaffy’s short film Dream Baby (2015), which won Best Short Film at the 2016 AACTAs, and on Vanessa Gazy’s short film Foal, which earned her a nomination for Best Production Design Short Film at the 2015 APDG Awards.

She graduated from the Australian Film, TV, and Radio School (AFTRS) in 2012 with a Graduate Diploma of Production Design, and from the Royal Melbourne Institute Of Technology (RMIT) in 2011 with a Diploma of Design (Visual Merchandising).

Most recently, Sherree has earned her first television credit, being the production designer on season 2 of The Wilds (2022) (created by Sarah Streicher, produced by Amy Harris and Lena Cordina/ Amazon Studios & ABC Studios) – the long awaited second instalment of Amazon Prime's popular young adult adventure drama.
