Sundance 2019 Slate Announced - Congratulations to our Clients
Cameron’s wishes to congratulate all our clients involved with the wonderful Australian films which have been selected for the prestigious Sundance Film Festival 2019.
Writer/director Abe Forsythe’s feature film, Little Monsters, will have its world premiere at the Midnight section of the festival. A film dedicated to all the kindergarten teachers who motivate children to learn, instill them with confidence and stop them from being devoured by zombies. The film boasts a stellar international cast which includes Lupita Nyong’o, Josh Gad and Alexander England. Cinematographer Lachlan Milne and costume designer Leon Krasenstein, round out the talented team. Forsythe told IF: “A lot of people worked very hard bringing this logistically punishing story to life. I’m so happy that everyone’s work will be premiered at a festival I’ve always dreamed of attending.”
Dany Cooper edited Mirrah Foulkes directorial debut, Judy + Punch, which turns the old puppet show on its head in this subversive interpretation that sees puppeteers Judy and her husband Punch trying to resurrect their marionette show in an anarchic town on the brink of mob rule.

Costume designer Margot Wilson and production designer Alex Holmes helped craft the brutal and unflinching world of Jennifer Kent’s The Nightingale. The film has already been critically lauded at the Venice Film Festival and Adelaide Film Festival. The film follows a 21-year-old Irish convict woman who witnesses the brutal murder of her family by her soldier master and his cronies. Accompanied by an Aboriginal tracker she sets off through the wilderness to seek revenge on the men and gets much more than she bargained for.
Editor Chris Plummer edited Top End Wedding, which sees an engaged couple have just ten days to find the bride’s mother who has gone AWOL somewhere in the remote far north of Australia, reunite her parents and pull off their dream wedding.
All films will hit Australian cinemas next year, starting with The Nightingale on January 24.
