Del Kathryn Barton's Debut Feature Film 'Blaze' to Premiere at Tribeca Film Festival

Cameron’s wishes to congratulate Del Kathryn Barton on the announcement that her debut feature film Blaze will have its World Premiere in the Narrative Competition at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival.

The film, which Del directed and co-wrote with Cameron’s client Huna Amweero, tells the story of a young girl who accidentally witnesses a woman being violently attacked, leaving her catatonic with shock and struggling to make sense of what she saw. She retreats into imaginary worlds, where Zephyr, the shimmering magic dragon who has been her companion since childhood, allows her to activate her own rage and ultimately find renewal.

Blaze, which is a hybrid live-action, VFX and animation work, was brought to life by an array of Cameorn’s clients, which includes: Costume Designer Margot Wilson, Production Designer Alex Holmes, Editor Dany Cooper and Cinematographer Jeremy Rouse.

The film was produced by Causeway Films.

Del discusses the film in the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar, the cover of which, she also designed.

Blaze is expected to be released in Australia and New Zealand in 2022.
