‘The Artful Dodger’ Released on Disney + and Hulu
Congratulations to Cameron’s clients: Andrew Knight, Amelia Ford, and Xanthe Heubel, on the release of The Artful Dodger.
The show is set in 1850s Australia, in the colony of Port Victory. Jack Dawkins, aka The Artful Dodger (Thomas Brodie-Sangster), is now a surgeon who still has an affinity for crime. When Dodger’s past returns to haunt him with the arrival of Fagin, he is lured back into a world of crime.
The series is already receiving rave reviews. Luke Buckmaster wrote in his four-star review in The Guardian: “This high-energy mischievousness is well-sustained across the four episodes available for review, coming from several places simultaneously: the editing, which bounces around like a pinball; the cast, who deliver their lines almost breathlessly; which begins in media res, Dawkins facing off against Tim Minchin’s villainous cheat Darius Cracksworth at the card table.”
Andrew Knight executive co-produced the series, as well as writing episodes 2 & 5 and co-writing episode 7; Amelia Ford edited two episodes, and Xanthe Heubel costume designed the series.
The eight-part series for Disney+ is a co-production with Sony Pictures Television’s Curio Pictures and produced by Beach Road Pictures.
The Artful Dodger premieres on 29 November on Disney+ in Australia and on Hulu in the US.
