‘Together’ and ‘Went Up the Hill’ to Screen at the 2025 Sydney Film Festival
The full program for this years Sydney Film Festival has finally been released, with 200+ films set to screen across various cinemas.
Opening the festival on the 4th of June is the much-anticipated horror Together, which Nick Dare production designed.
Directed by Michael Shanks, and starring real-life partners Dave Franco and Alison Brie, the Australian production was filmed at Melbourne’s Docklands Studio and was produced by Princess Pictures, alongside Picturestart, Tango, and 1.21. It follows long-term lovers Tim and Millie, whose move to the country launches them on a devilishly unexpected ride that will bring them closer “together” than ever.
Went Up the Hill adds another festival to it’s run, with three sessions available to book respectively at the Sydney Opera House Playhouse, Ritz Randwick and Dendy Newtown. Vicky Krieps and Dacre Montgomery star in a haunting, wholly original tale of grief and possession set in remote New Zealand, directed by Samuel Van Grinsven. The film was edited by Dany Cooper.
Tickets can be purchased here for Together and here for Went Up the Hill.
